Her mother Edith L\u00f6wy came from Znojmo from the Wotzilko brewing family. Her father \u0160t\u011bp\u00e1n K\u00f6rner came from Ostrava. Relatives on both sides lived in T\u0159eb\u00ed\u010d, Brno, \u017daro\u0161ice, Velk\u00e9 Mezi\u0159\u00ed\u010d\u00ed and Vienna. While Ann's parents from Czechoslovakia<span style=\"color: #000000;\">a<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0escaped, all four of her grandparents died during the Holocaust. Nine discussions for the public and students about Dr. Ann Altman's Jewish roots, the impact of the Holocaust on her family, and her own interesting life will be held in English. The program will be moderated by\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">historian T\u00e1\u0148a Klementov\u00e1.
