In May 2025, the thing we have been working on for four years(!) was completed and the Jewish Museum Mehrin is now the owner of the unique library of journalist Petr Brod. This „Jewish“ library, purposefully built over fifty years, consists of more than five thousand, often
extraordinary items, where books predominate, but there are also a number of interesting exile magazines and various documents. The library is now housed in the depository of the Moravian Library, where it is undergoing a gradual cataloguing and individual volumes are continuously released to the public, for the time being for loan. The purchase of the library would not have been possible if it had not been for the substantial financial assistance of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and the relevant financial contribution of the Statutory City of Brno.
